With the deep timber of you
We are laughing, the day is bright and cold

Like how you look when
Downcast
Your eyes lift up
Catch mine
Longer than is polite

Disregard that weakness of mine
To regard you for too long
Steal your breath with my seeking
Translucency
It is fleeting and full of vanity
Not true
Yet
What is true often
Defies our promise
Or the words we use
To cover up the unavoidable
I ignore your command
My chest bests faster

As in dappled sun I run
To catch you ahead of me

Pricking my skin senseless
